Job Responsibilities:

  • Designing and prototyping of proprietary, novel lithium-ion based electrodes and pouch cells - including electrode and cell design, prototyping, and electrical, mechanical, electrochemical testing
  • Will be responsible for taking product from potential customer requirements to customer ready deliverable
  • Will be a key team member in completing the project working with interdisciplinary group of engineers, reporting to the R&D Director - Advanced Energy Storage (AES)
  • Prepare R&D project reports and product documentation
  • Data analysis, test set-up, fixturing and running electrochemical tests

Experience and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred, Degree in Electrical Engineering also acceptable
  • Experience with electrode and cell designing & manufacturing for lithium-ion battery and ultracapacitors
  • Exposure to chemistry or electrochemistry is a plus
  • Experience with Li-ion batteries and energy storage is a plus
  • Comfortable working independently with guidance from the team
  • Experience with battery cycling testers (Arbin, Maccor) a plus
  • Experience with dry room and glove box related work a plus
  • Experience with CAD, Fusion
  • Experience with a machine shop
  • Experience with welding techniques (resistance, ultrasonic a plus)


We offer a total estimated compensation package of $77,400-$98,400 (base salary plus 30% bonus potential paid quarterly based on divisional and company KPIs.) We offer health, dental, vision, FSA, life insurance, 401k, and three weeks of paid time off plus one week for year-end vacation.
