Nanoramic Laboratories seeks a Process Engineer to work cross functionally with our Research and Development, Engineering, Business Development, and Manufacturing teams to improve overall product design, qualification, documentation, equipment, tools, materials, and training. This role will be responsible for developing processes for a pilot line through production line configurations, 5S and lean manufacturing principles. The Process Engineer will identify and drive process improvements based on data analysis and trends focused on improving quality and reliability.


This job requires strong analytical and technical abilities and demands fast, but carefully thought-out results. Strong leadership and control of the work process from beginning to end is necessary. The job centers around developing new ideas, systems and technology, and also analyzing and improving on old ones. A high level of expertise is expected and the ability to spot and correct errors is important. Work must always focus on accomplishing the goal and producing the highest quality work from co-workers.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in electrode coating and operations from pilot to production scale equipment
  • Work with the Electrode Engineering team to improve product and develop manufacturing processes
  • Experience with Li-ion battery and/or Capacitor electrode design and manufacturing process development
    • Develop coating processes for aqueous and solvent based formulations
  • Support electrode coating scale-up from R&D through to pilot manufacturing
  • 5+ Years in product design
  • Specialty in scale up, Plan, develop, implement and configure pilot line.
    • Design for manufacturing, DOE, 5S, Six Sigma
  • Develop Processes and equipment within the cell manufacturing team
    • Perform supporting activities for engineering and manufacturing such as 5S and lean manufacturing activities and material handling improvements
  • Work cross-functionally with manufacturing, design engineering, and other teams to define/qualify designs, instructions, equipment, tools, materials, and training.
  • Analyze data related to process capability and capacity to identify and drive initiatives aligned with manufacturing intent
  • May at times need to lift up to 40lbs
