Job Responsibilities:

  • Run fabrication processes repetitively and follow procedures to run processes related to lithium-ion electrodes and pouch cell lab-scale manufacturing
  • Set up and operate R&D equipment including lab-scale electrode and pouch cell fabrication lines.
  • Detailed documentation of process methods and results
  • Inspect and test finished products for quality, functionality, and adherence to specifications
  • Measure and record data associated with fabrication processes
  • Perform basic maintenance on various machines
  • Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products
  • Follow all regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance.


The focus of this job is on producing high quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines and procedures. Precise, consistent work output is essential requiring patience and a willingness to handle and complete one task at a time. Job knowledge and competency is built through structured step-by-step training and positive, supportive coaching from management and peers. Communication with others is based on knowledge of repetitive job routines and procedures gained from sufficient on the job experience. Consistent, error free work based on defined regulations and standards are key measures of job performance success. The job environment promotes steady, methodical work output so that job routines can be completed on time and error-free. This position is designed to develop a valued technical expert who can deliver quality work on a consistent basis.

Experience and Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills
  • Computer skills for preliminary report generation (MS Office: Power Point, Word and Excel)
  • Experience with any of the following is a plus: electrode slurry mixer, electrode coating machine, electrode calendering machine, electrode slitter machine, electrode punching machine, vacuum oven, pouch cell stacking machine, ultrasonic welding machine, heat sealing machine, electrolyte filling machine, vacuum sealing machine, charge-discharge testers.
  • Must be open to learning new work skills, processes, and procedures that may be different from previous work experiences.
